2) creation

(yesterday) mixed musical cues, sounds, and accompaniment from students' play. the freedom to practice tracking and editing free from my own book soundtrack is liberating. the end product not my music (although it still is to marked degrees in arrangement and production) but is being driven by outward goal of the plays' structures - many decisions are already made.

DAILY ARTIFACT LOG - GOAL

My artifacts are not stillborn or arrested in early development so much by unresolved planning or structural defects but instead are slowly pinched off by small stoppers and momentum-less days. The creative effort not lost to hemorrhage but leached off by the routine everyday droplets. The late arriving echo audience hardly privy to the daily toil that piles the artifacts for a lifetime before their immediate awareness, appraisal, and acquisition. Deadlines aid the effort but are product-bound and necessarily presume an audience / patron / publisher / distributor / and such.
