2) creation

(last few days) editing last 10 page span of ...fence posts rotting in the acreage... chapter 11, now the first chapter of book two. changed the opening quote to a three paragraph excerpt from Sam Harris, The End of Faith. typing out 5 years of daydreams or so on 1980s electric typewriter - the physical motions and writing happening right then are made apparent and manifest. such intensity to hear the motors and belts running to transmit the key-types into inked letters on the page.

DAILY ARTIFACT LOG - GOAL

My artifacts are not stillborn or arrested in early development so much by unresolved planning or structural defects but instead are slowly pinched off by small stoppers and momentum-less days. The creative effort not lost to hemorrhage but leached off by the routine everyday droplets. The late arriving echo audience hardly privy to the daily toil that piles the artifacts for a lifetime before their immediate awareness, appraisal, and acquisition. Deadlines aid the effort but are product-bound and necessarily presume an audience / patron / publisher / distributor / and such.
