1) identification, 2) creation

(last few weeks) dreams and ian tracked on small digital recorder, notebook entries, and setting up studio in new house. researching new mixer for teeple and now coveting for myself as it would support a more streamlined work flow and a better understanding of signal flow - my current mixer still a confusing piece of gear years into usage.
reading book - the information: a history, a theory, a flood by James Gleick. also enamored with reading articles, dispatches, and news items on iphone apps for npr and general anytime access to the week and wired through internet.
finishing student voice overdub project after months of delay. pleased with video editing software on mac.

DAILY ARTIFACT LOG - GOAL

My artifacts are not stillborn or arrested in early development so much by unresolved planning or structural defects but instead are slowly pinched off by small stoppers and momentum-less days. The creative effort not lost to hemorrhage but leached off by the routine everyday droplets. The late arriving echo audience hardly privy to the daily toil that piles the artifacts for a lifetime before their immediate awareness, appraisal, and acquisition. Deadlines aid the effort but are product-bound and necessarily presume an audience / patron / publisher / distributor / and such.
